Catch a whopper

Go fishing within the park directly from very our own river bank, stroll across to the river Dovey to take advantage of the daily fishing trips from Barmouth.

Machynlleth Golf Club is only a 10 minute walk from our park, alternatively try the charming Aberdovey Golf Club with its views of the Dovey Estuary is just a 20 minute drive away.

They are stunning!

Ok, we might be biased, but we are sitting in a superb country estate overlooking the Snowdonia National Park.
Don’t believe us, take a look at the gallery – or better still come and see for yourself.

Forget the car!

You have everything you need within walking distance.

Machynlleth Train Station is only a 15 minute walk, so you don’t even the car !!

Well actually, more than a drink!

If you fancy a meal or just a relaxing drink, head over to Plas Dolguog Hotel, with some of the best views of snowdonia.
It’s literally on the doors step.

We are just half a mile (10/15 min walk) from the ancient market town of Machynlleth, with its antique / craft shops, leading supermarkets and historic buildings.

Don’t forget the Wednesday Street market and, of course, its famous clock tower !

Don't take our word for it

Take a look at what our lovely owners have to say.

  • We have had a great time at Garth the site is beautiful – I think the best in the area- you and your assistants have been very supportive and friendly. We have got many fond memories of being there!

    Karl Gregory
  • A lot of bins have been provided to separate rubbish. It is an excellent park. Very natural with lots of birdlife.

The park is maintained to encourage lovely birds, small animals and of course bats.

    Every year is superb.

The important factor that draws us to the Garth is the emphasis on keeping everything as natural as possible. The variety of animals, birds and plants is excellent.

  • Really nice Holiday Park with beautiful scenery and helpful staff.

  • Park is set on hillside, trees, walk over river Dyfi to Grandma’s Garden and Plas Dolguog Hotel.
Whether you love sea, hills, lakes, mountains, forest, birds, walking, climbing, cycling, lakes or boating,it‘s all here in striking distance.

If you want site clubs, playgrounds, shops on site, plenty of other parks around that do that job really well.
This one’s for peaceful, quiet, relaxing, absolutely LOVE IT !

    Very QUIET, beautiful setting.
